World Science Day for Peace and Development 2017

November 10th marks the World Day of Science for Peace and Development. Celebrated annually with the promotion of UNESCO, it aims to highlight the role of science in building a better world.

This year "Science for Global Understanding" was the theme chosen for reflection. This motto integrates UNESCO's approach to developing scientific cooperation between and within societies, combining sustainability on a global scale with work and knowledge on a local scale.
