Science 2021 meeting under the theme "Science that makes tomorrow and transforms the economy"

Registration is now open to take part in Ciência 2021 - Meeting with Science and Technology in Portugal, which will be held on June 28, 29 and 30, 2021, at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL), under the theme "Science that makes Tomorrow and transforms the Economy".

This event is promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, in collaboration with the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture - Ciência Viva, and with the institutional support of the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education.

As in previous editions, this meeting aims to debate the main topics and challenges on the scientific agenda, stimulating participation and interaction between researchers, the business sector and the general public in a large annual forum.

This year, Ciência 2021 is curated by David Braga Malta, founder of LiMM, Cell2B and BoostPharma; Marta Oliveira, a specialist in launcher safety at the European Spaceport with Vitrociset; and Paula M. Alves, CEO of iBET and Professor at NOVA University Lisbon (ITQB and FCT-NOVA). The guest country is France, which will actively participate in the program.

The meeting will take place in person, but with a limited number of participants in accordance with the Lisbon Congress Center's contingency plan. The sessions will be webstreamed on the website. Detailed information will soon be available on the meeting's website, which is constantly being updated. The Meeting also has an app for Android and IOS smartphones, which will allow participants to interact more with the event.

Ciência 2021 counts on the active participation of national R&D institutions, through the presentation of papers, demonstrations of R&D activities and posters by doctoral students with FCT scholarships.
