Meeting ‘Digital Publishing in Open Science: Pathways and Opportunities’
The digital edition of scientific journals and the difficulties and challenges, both present and future, for this type of publication medium are some of the topics under discussion at the meeting "Digital Publishing in Open Science: Paths and Opportunities" to be held in Lisbon. The meeting will take place on September 6, starting at 9:00 a.m., at the Thalia Theater, and is aimed at the community of scientific journal editors, researchers, librarians, and anyone interested in the subject.
The initiative's program features Jean-Claude Burgelman, Head of Unit Open Data Policy and Science Cloud and Chair of DG RTD Taskforce on Open Science, as keynote speaker, with a session open to all participants and a second session, starting at 4:00 p.m., restricted to the SciELO Community.
This meeting is the result of a joint organization by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, the Foundation for Science and Technology, and the Directorate-General for Education and Science Statistics, within the scope of the Open Science initiative.
