FCT announces the Call Studentships for Doctorates 2021

The Notice of the Call Call the award of Studentships Doctorates 2021 is now available. This year, 1,450 Studentships awarded, and the application period will run from March 1 to March 31, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. (Lisbon time).

All application, evaluation, results disclosure, complaint and/or appeal, and contracting procedures take place on the myFCT electronic platform.

PhD Studentships are intended for candidates enrolled in a study program leading to a doctoral degree, or candidates who meet the necessary conditions to enroll, and who wish to carry out research activities leading to the award of this degree in all areas of knowledge.

Research activities may be carried out in any environment for the production and dissemination of knowledge, whether national or international, including higher education institutions, R&D units, Associate Laboratories, Collaborative Laboratories, Technology Interface Centers, State Laboratories, and other public research institutions, hospitals and healthcare units, other entities integrated into the Public Administration where R&D activities are carried out, as well as private non-profit institutions whose main purpose is R&D activities.

Similarly, companies whose activities have been recognized as being of scientific interest, or consortia in which any of the entities referred to in the previous paragraph participate, shall also be considered as host institutions.

It should be noted that research activities may be carried out in collaboration with different host institutions, both public and private, including companies and public administration, promoting institutional collaboration as well as transdisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity.
