FCT supports Studentships Technological Internships at CERN, ESA, and ESO

Applications are open until December 19 for 18 Studentships technological internships at three international scientific organizations of which Portugal is a member, namely the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the European Southern Observatory (ESO). Portuguese nationals with a bachelor's degree or higher academic qualification at the beginning of their career are eligible to apply.

This internship program aims to provide Portuguese candidates with an opportunity to undertake advanced training in leading international scientific organizations. Studentships Call a wide range of areas, with internship opportunities ranging from engineering, natural sciences, and computer science to management, technology transfer and innovation, communication, law, political science, and economics.

The technological internships have a maximum duration of two years. They are carried out under agreements signed by FCT with CERN, ESA, and ESO, and seek to have candidates develop a complementary training plan (on-the-job training) in strategic technological areas to increase the competitiveness of Portuguese companies.
