FCT supports Studentships for Technological Internships at CERN, ESA and ESO

Applications are open until December 19 for the award of 18 Studentships for technological internships in three international scientific organizations of which Portugal is a member, namely the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Southern Observatory (ESO). Portuguese graduates or early career graduates are eligible to apply.

This internship programme aims to provide Portuguese candidates with an opportunity to undertake advanced training in leading international scientific organizations. The Studentships on Call are aimed at a wide variety of areas, with internship opportunities ranging from engineering, natural sciences and computer science to management, technology transfer and innovation, communication, law, political sciences and economics.

Technological internships have a maximum duration of two years. They are carried out under the agreements signed by FCT with CERN, ESA and ESO, and aim to enable candidates to develop a complementary training plan (on-the-job training) in technological areas that are strategic for increasing the competitiveness of Portuguese companies.
