FCT awards 1,454 new Studentships in Call 2021 Call

The FCT has published the final results of Call the Award of Studentships for Doctorates 2021, with 1,454 new Studentships recommended for funding, four more than in the provisional results. See the final list and results by panel here.

The process of contracting the Studentships under this Call on the date of publication of the final results, in accordance with the FCT Studentships Regulations. As in previous years, it is the scholarship holder who indicates the start date of the Studentship funding, which must be between September 1, 2021, and August 1, 2022, as stated in CallNotice of the Call CallNotice of the Call with retroactive payment of Studentship applicable.

Candidates who receive an unfavorable decision have 15 working days to submit a complaint against the final decision or, alternatively, 30 working days to lodge an appeal through the respective area on the MyFCT portal.

The next Call the Award of PhD Studentships in all scientific areas is expected to be announced in January 2022.

Important dates:
Start date of the Studentship between September 1, 2021, and August 1, 2022*
Submission of documentation for Studentship contracting Studentship MyFCT – until April 21, 2022**
Submission of complaints – by November 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.
Submission of appeals – by December 6, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.

*Where applicable, retroactive payment of Studentship will be made.
**Six months from the date of notification of the conditional award of Studentship for submission of the documents for contracting.
