FCT assigns 1.454 new PhD Studentships in Call of 2021

FCT has published the final results of the Call for the Attribution of Doctoral Research Studentships for 2021, with 1.454 new Studentships research projects recommended for funding, 4 more than the provisional results. See here for the final list and results by panel.

The contracting process of the Studentships approved under this Call starts from this date of publication of the final results, in accordance with the FCT Research Regulation Studentships . As in previous years, it is the grantee who indicates the start date of funding from Studentship, which must include the period between September 1, 2021 and August 1, 2022, as stated in the Notice of the Call of Call, with retroactive payment of Studentship when applicable.

Applicants with an unfavorable decision have 15 working days to lodge a complaint against the final decision or, alternatively, 30 working days to appeal through the respective area on the MyFCT portal.

The next Call for the Award of Studentships for Doctoral Research in all scientific areas is expected to be announced in January 2022.

Deadlines highlighted:
Start date of Studentship - between 01.09.2021 and 01.08.2022*
Submission of documentation for contractualization of Studentship in MyFCT - until 21.04.2022**
Claim Submission - until 12.11.2021 - 23h59
Appeal Submission - until 06.12.2021 - 11:59pm

*Whenever applicable, retroactive payment of Studentship will be due.
**Six months from the date of communication of the conditional concession of Studentship to submit the documents for contractualization.
