FCT and Fulbright Commission strengthen collaboration
The FCT and the Fulbright Commission – Commission for Educational Exchange between the USA and Portugal – have signed a new cooperation protocol, continuing the collaboration between the two institutions and reinforcing the joint plan for awarding Studentships, in force since 2014.
In 2017, under this protocol, 45 Studentships will be awarded with the support of the FCT, with emphasis on 30 new Studentships Portuguese researchers and professors who wish to carry out research projects at universities or research centers in the United States.
The first Call under this new protocol runs from December 1 to 31and covers eight Studentships teachers who are benefiting from Studentship sabbatical Studentship offered by the FCT. Applications must be submitted through the Fulbright Commission website. The joint Studentships allocation plan Studentships also Studentships Studentships for Portuguese nationals in the US and Studentships visiting American teachers and researchers.
The protocol was signed on November 23 by the Chairmen of the Boards of Directors of the Fulbright Commission and FCT, Prof. João Queiroz and Prof. Paulo Ferrão, respectively, at a ceremony held during the Fulbright Thanksgiving Dinner.
On that occasion, an agreement was also signed defining the terms under which various types Studentships FCT Studentships may be combined with Studentships by the Fulbright Commission.
