FCT introduces innovative mechanism for reimbursements to scientific institutions

To speed up reimbursements of expenses incurred by scientific institutions, FCT is introducing a new payment mechanism, whereby it will issue payment, subject to subsequent validation of the expense, of 80% of the amount submitted.

This will be the first time that the FCT has used this instrument, which is justified in view of the significant increase in the financial execution of institutions in recent months. The FCT is implementing the necessary adjustments to the expense submission systems so that this new transfer mechanism can already take effect on payments in October.
