Final Results of the 2016 Call for PhD Studentships and Post-Doctoral Fellowships

1,253 scholarships were awarded in the 2016 Call for PhD Studentships and Post-Doctoral Fellowships. Fifty-three scholarships were awarded during appeals, resulting in a total of 820 PhD Studentships and 433 Post-Doc Fellowships awarded in that Call.

Scholarships are a subsidy given to researchers to allow them to dedicate themselves exclusively to scientific and technological activities. The awarding process has several phases between application and results. Once applications are submitted and their eligibility has been verified, proposals are vetted separately by two senior researchers by panel. Whenever necessary, experts external to the panels are also invited to vet specific proposals. Results were published on January 31, and applicants with unfavorable decisions had 10 days to appeal.

The results of the evaluation panel are available here.
