FLAD Science Award Atlantic 2020
The Luso American Development Foundation (FLAD) opens applications for the FLAD Science Award Atlantic 2020 on November 20th. This award is aimed at young researchers at the start of their careers working in Portugal, who focus their work on the field of engineering and have research objectives centered on the Atlantic Ocean.
The prize, worth 300,000 euros, seeks to distinguish research in the Atlantic for its decisive importance in understanding very diverse areas, from the interaction between the oceans, the atmosphere and space, to climate change, natural phenomena and sustainability.
This award is open to researchers who have held a doctorate for a maximum of five years and are associated with a research center recognized by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). The candidate must also be carrying out independent, autonomous and high-quality scientific research in Portugal. Finally, the candidate must also include a research interaction with a North American entity.
The deadline for submitting applications for this award is December 20 and the process is carried out online, starting November 20, on the FLAD website.
