The Foundation for Science and Technology launched this year a Call of scientific projects to be developed in conjunction with the Public Administration under axis 5 (research) of Initiative INCoDe.2030. The selected proposals will be presented on October 24 in an event to be held at the National Institute of Statistics from 10:00 am. The session to present the projects will be attended by the Minister of the Presidency and Administrative Modernization, Maria Manuel Leitão Marques and the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor.
Scientific and technological advances in data science and artificial intelligence make it possible to relate data, find patterns, anticipate failures and optimize processes. The projects presented bring together scientific entities and Public Administration entities to jointly use the available data that often contain information, not always obvious, that can benefit citizens. This way, the goal is to provide a better service to society, whether in health, education, culture, mobility or land management.
