FCCN Conference returns to face-to-face format

The Jornadas da Computação Científica (Days of Scientific Computing) will return to a face-to-face format in its next edition, which will take place from October 19th to 21st. This is the annual meeting of the community served by FCCN, the FCT's National Scientific Computing unit, which will be held at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão (Polo 2) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.

The meeting aims to maintain contact between the various communities of managers and users of advanced computing platforms, communication and other digital services provided by the FCCN Unit of the FCT. It is aimed at those responsible for computer, library, documentation and/or archive services in Higher Education Institutions, decision makers and institutional leaders with these responsibilities and those responsible for the implementation of science and research units.

As in previous years, over three days themes related to the FCCN Unit of the FCT will be presented and discussed: Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge and Security. There will also be room for socializing among the community. The social program includes, on the first day of the event, a walking trail dedicated to the work "O Crime do Padre Amaro", by Eça de Queirós, and the Jornadas dinner, on October 20th.
