MIT Portugal and UTAustin-Portugal open Calls for Exploratory Research Projects

The FCT opened registrations in January for two Calls for Exploratory Research Projects, framed within the partnerships of the MIT Portugal and UTAustin-Portugal programs. These Calls foresee the allocation of 3.2 million euros to finance 32 projects.
Exploratory research projects within the scope of the MIT Portugal Program are aimed at the development of high-performance technological products and services, between public and private partners and entities of the National Scientific and Technological System (SCTN). The areas of activity are: integrated research based on the context of the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre), sustainability and data management in urban systems, new industrial concepts and smart factories, biological and medical devices, and sustainable transport systems. Registration is open until March 8th.
THE Call for exploratory research projects within the scope of the UTAustin-Portugal Program aims to promote and finance exploratory scientific projects proposed by teams of experts and researchers. The research areas are those related to the CoLab initiative – Emerging Technologies Research (digital content, advanced computing, mathematics, nanotechnologies) and scientific areas defined in the context of the AIR Center (space sciences; clean energy technologies; environment, atmospheric sciences and climate change; ocean sciences; and data science, cyber infrastructure and e-science). Registration is open until March 23rd.
