November is #SpaceTalks month

November is Space Month for Everyone. The European Space Talks are coming, an initiative of the European Space Agency (ESA) promoted in Portugal by the Foundation for Science and Technology, which wants to get everyone involved in orbit around space issues, without leaving the ground. The initiative aims to bring together citizens, companies, institutions, schools and anyone else who wants to organize sessions in different formats to discuss Space.

Anyone can be a Space Ambassador and organize a #SpaceTalk. Just set a program and register it here . Then, just publicize it with the materials available here and with the help of the FCT, which will make a calendar of activities available on its website.

If you need inspiration, we have several suggestions: Space, what we can see, what we can't see but know is there, to what extent its technologies change our lives and how it is a passion for so many. Spaces for sharing experiences and learning can be created in your living room or in the company auditorium, for children and adults alike. Stars can be researchers, scientists, astronomers and even astronauts, but also space enthusiasts who have an amateur relationship with it. The sky is the limit. Literally.

ESA maintains a list of planned events on its website . Registered participants can still participate in the Call #SpaceSelfie and be in with a chance of winning a trip to Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.

These are the events that are currently planned:

Conversations in Space – Coimbra – November 27, 2018 – Department of Physics of the University of Coimbra

Science Café: Other Earths in the Universe? – December 15, 2018 – Alqueva Lake Observatory
