November is the month of #SpaceTalks

November is the month of Space for all. The European Space Talks, an initiative of the European Space Agency (ESA) promoted in Portugal by the Foundation for Science and Technology, which wants to get everyone orbiting around space issues, without taking their feet off the ground. The initiative aims to get citizens, companies, institutions, schools and whoever else wants to organize sessions in various formats to discuss space.

Anyone can be a Space Ambassador and organize a #SpaceTalk. Just define a program and register it here. Then, all you have to do is promote it with the materials available here and with the help of FCT, which will make available a calendar of activities on its website.

If you need inspiration, we have several suggestions: Space, what we can see, what we can't see but know is there, how its technologies change our lives and how it is a passion for so many. Spaces can be created to share experiences and learning, in the living room of your home or in the auditorium of your company, from kids to adults. The stars can be researchers, scientists, astronomers and even astronauts, but also space lovers who have an amateur relationship with it. The sky is the limit. Literally.

ESA maintains a list of planned events on its website. Registered participants can also take part in Call #SpaceSelfie and stand a chance of winning a trip to Europe's spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.

These are the events that are planned at this time:

Conversations in Space - Coimbra - November 27, 2018 - Department of Physics, University of Coimbra

Science Café: Other Earths in the Universe? - December 15, 2018 - Lake Alqueva Observatory
