New Scientific Councils of the FCT
The first meeting of the new FCT Scientific Councils was held last Friday, September 29th. The four CCs constitute an advisory body supporting the FCT Board of Directors, which provides strategic advice and recommendations on the development, implementation and adaptation of science and technology support programs.
The Scientific Councils are divided into the areas of Exact Sciences and Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, Natural and Environmental Sciences and Social and Human Sciences. Each of these councils is composed of 7 members of recognized scientific merit. The councils meet every two months.
