New Scientific Councils of the FCT

Last Friday, September 29, the first meeting of the new Scientific Councils of the FCT was held. The four SCs constitute an advisory body supporting the FCT's Governing Board, providing strategic advice and recommendations on the development, implementation, and adaptation of science and technology support programs.

The Scientific Councils are divided into the areas of Exact Sciences and Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, Natural and Environmental Sciences, and Social Sciences and Humanities. Each of these councils is composed of seven members of recognized scientific merit. The councils meet every two months.
