Arquivo.pt Award 2022 applications now open

Applications for the 5th edition of the Arquivo.pt Award are open until May 4. The aim of this Call is to encourage the development of practical applications or research studies based on the information available on Arquivo.pt, demonstrating the usefulness of this service of public interest, which is managed by the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology.

As in previous editions, three entries will be honored and awarded as follows: 1st place - €10,000, 2nd place - €3,000 and 3rd place - €2,000. To compete, you need to submit a text and a short video describing the work you've done, which can be on topics such as history, sociology, communication, health, IT, education, etc., as long as you use Arquivo.pt as your main source of information. An honorable mention will also be awarded, in a special collaboration with the award's media partner - the newspaper Público. The best work submitted that focuses on the web archive of Público online will receive an annual online subscription to the newspaper.
