Arquivo.pt Award 2022 is now accepting applications

Applications for the 5th edition of the Arquivo.pt Award are open until May 4. The aim of Call to encourage the development of practical applications or research studies based on the information available at Arquivo.pt, demonstrating the usefulness of this public service, which is managed by the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology.

As in previous editions, three works will be distinguished and awarded as follows: 1st place – €10,000, 2nd place – €3,000, and 3rd place – €2,000. To enter, you must submit a text and a short video describing the work carried out, which may focus on topics such as history, sociology, communication, health, IT, education, etc., provided that Arquivo.pt is used as the main source of information. An honorable mention will also be awarded, in special collaboration with the media partner of this award – the Público newspaper. The best work submitted that focuses on the web archive relating to Público online will receive an annual online subscription to the newspaper.
