Arquivo.pt Award 2022 already opened

Applications for the 5th edition of the Arquivo.pt Prize are open until May 4th. The objective of this Call is to encourage the development of practical applications or research studies based on the information available in Arquivo.pt, demonstrating the usefulness of this service of public interest, which is managed by the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology.

As in previous editions, three works will be awarded prizes: 1st place - 10,000€, 2nd place - 3,000€ and 3rd place - 2,000€. To compete, it is necessary to submit a text and a short video describing the work done, which may focus on topics such as history, sociology, communication, health, information technology, education, etc., as long as it uses Arquivo.pt as the main source of information. An honorable mention will also be given, in a special collaboration with the award's media partner - the Público newspaper. The best submitted work that has focused on the web archive related to Público online will receive an annual online subscription to the newspaper.
