Collaborative projects with ALBA

The Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (ALBA) is accepting proposals for collaborative projects between Portuguese research centers or universities and scientific areas at ALBA (Spain) until January 25. This initiative is part of the Collaboration Agreement between FCT and ALBA, established in February 2019, and was recently announced at the scientific meetingheld on December 17.

The agreement between FCT and ALBA aims to promote scientific collaboration between the two countries, in the spirit of improving scientific and technical exchange, developing joint projects, and facilitating access to scientific instrumentation in institutions considered by both scientific communities. This agreement has created the conditions for collaboration and various possible lines of activity, including the creation of a joint postdoctoral program that includes funding for four Portuguese postdoctoral researchers at ALBA's infrastructure, who will be involved in collaborative projects between Portuguese research centers or universities and ALBA's scientific areas.
