Results of the Call for Collaborative Labs
The evaluation of the applications submitted for the title and designation of Collaborative Laboratory(CoLAB) has been completed. Six proposals received a positive opinion. The approved list with the final ranking of the applications submitted to the Call is available here. The proposals now being evaluated were presented at the public session held on November 15, 2017, in Lisbon.
Collaborative Laboratories have 90 days after the decision to award the title to set themselves up as private non-profit associations or companies. These institutions will directly and indirectly create qualified employment and scientific jobs in Portugal by implementing research and innovation agendas aimed at creating economic and social value.
CoLABs must respond to the challenge of densifying the national territory in terms of knowledge-based activities, by increasingly consolidating forms of collaboration between science, technology and higher education institutions and the economic and social fabric, namely companies, the hospital and health system, cultural institutions and social organizations. Obtaining the title will enable you to apply for specific funding.
The Call is open permanently. The next meeting of the evaluation panel will take place on April 20th.
