Result of Call for the award of the title of Collaborative Laboratory

The evaluation of the applications submitted for the award of the title and designation of Collaborative Laboratory ( CoLAB ) has been completed. Six proposals received a positive opinion. The approved list with the final classification of the applications submitted to Call is available here . The proposals now evaluated were presented at the public session that took place on November 15, 2017, in Lisbon.

Collaborative Laboratories have 90 days after the decision to grant the title to establish themselves as private non-profit associations or companies. These institutions will create, directly and indirectly, qualified employment and scientific employment in Portugal, through the implementation of research and innovation agendas aimed at creating economic and social value.

CoLABs must respond to the challenge of densifying the national territory in terms of knowledge-based activities, through a growing consolidation of forms of collaboration between science, technology and higher education institutions and the economic and social fabric, namely companies, the hospital and health system, cultural institutions and social organizations. Obtaining the title will subsequently allow you to apply for specific financing.

THE Call is open permanently. The next evaluation panel meeting will take place on April 20.
