Result of Call for the awarding of the title of Collaborative Lab

The evaluation of the applications submitted for the title and designation of Collaborative Laboratory(CoLAB) has been completed. Six proposals obtained a positive opinion. The approved list with the final ranking of the applications submitted to Call is available here. The proposals now evaluated were presented at the public session that took place on November 15, 2017, in Lisbon.

The Collaborative Laboratories have 90 days after the decision to award the title to be constituted as private non-profit associations or companies. These institutions will create, directly and indirectly, qualified employment and scientific jobs in Portugal, through the implementation of research and innovation agendas oriented to the creation of economic and social value.

CoLABs must meet the challenge of densification of the national territory in terms of knowledge-based activities, through an increasing consolidation of forms of collaboration between science, technology and higher education institutions and the economic and social fabric, namely companies, the hospital and health system, cultural institutions and social organizations. Obtaining the title will later make it possible to apply for specific funding.

Call is permanently open. The next meeting of the evaluation panel will take place on April 20.
