Results of the 1st edition of Call of Advanced Computing Projects
FCT approved 129 projects in the 1st edition of the Call Advanced Computing Projects (CPCA), including 67 A1 and A2 projects, out of the 133 applications received (50.4% approval rate for A1 and A2 projects). The final list of projects is available here.
More than 80 million core hours were requested in this 1st Call for Advanced Computing Projects (CPCA). The initial capacity of 27.3 M has since been revised to 35.3 M in order to accommodate more projects.
The 62 remaining projects below the cut-off line were awarded A0 or A00 trial vouchers, depending on their position on the ranked list.
There will be a total of 129 applications with access to the resources of the National Network for Advanced Computing, in the 3 modalities available:
- HPC - High Performance Computing
- HTC - High Throughput Computing
- Cloud Computing
The Call for Advanced Computing Projects is part of the e.2030 National Digital Skills Initiative, Portugal INCoDe.2030, under Axis 5 - Research, which aims to guarantee the conditions for the production of new knowledge and active participation in international R&D networks and programs - public or private, non-profit research institutions dedicated to scientific research and technological development.
