'Smart Solutions for Ageing well' is the challenge of the AAL 2018 Program
The AAL (Active and Assisted Living) Association, which counts the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) as an associate member, has launched the 2018 edition of the AAL Program's Transnational Call . Applications are open until May 28 and the Call is dedicated to the theme 'Smart Solutions for Ageing well'.
Participants are challenged to develop innovative, international and multidisciplinary projects that, through new technological solutions, contribute to improving the quality of life and autonomy of senior citizens.
With the 2018 edition, there are some new features, such as the possibility of submitting collaborative projects for the development of technological solutions that target different applications and areas in the healthy and active ageing sector, as well as different target markets.
This year, the Call is also more flexible in terms of the objective, size and duration of the projects submitted by introducing a new type of project, the 'small collaborative projects'. These have a maximum duration of 6 months, maximum funding of €300,000 (for the whole consortium) and simpler application and reporting processes. The 'small collaborative projects' are exploratory in nature, aimed at creating new concepts, ideas and approaches.
All projects must be developed through consortia made up of at least three organizations from three AAL Program member countries (including end-user organizations and a commercial partner).
