Upcoming Calls of the Individual and Institutional Scientific Employment Stimulus

FCT has published the notices for the submission of applications to the next Calls Stimulus to Scientific Employment for Individual and Institutional modalities. The two Calls correspond to the opening of more 700 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. These Calls Stimulus to Scientific Employment are two funding instruments for the hiring of researchers introduced by FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, and which aim to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge.

Applications to the 4th edition of Call Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual (CEEC Individual) will take place between January 29 and February 26, 2021, and Call has 400 vacancies for contracts. CEEC Individual is an annual Call that directly supports the hiring of doctoral researchers in all scientific areas, who wish to carry out scientific research or technological development in Portugal, in the institutions that make up the National System of Science and Technology (SNCT).

Applications to the 2nd edition of Call Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Institucional (CEEC Institucional) will take place between March 11 and April 16, 2021 and Call offers 300 vacancies for contracts. The Institutional CEEC is a biennial Call directed to institutions to support the development of R&D activities by hiring researchers with doctorates, namely in careers.

Altogether, the four editions of the CEEC Individual and the two editions of the CEEC Institutional total 2,200 openings for contracts with Ph. In both Calls, the FCT finances contracts of up to 6 years.
