Winner of the largest Call entrepreneurship Call reduces the cost of turning cars into hotspots

Veniam, developed by João Barros, Susana Sargento, Robin Chase, and Roy Russell, won the third edition of Call Global Innovators (BGI), among 132 competitors in this year's edition. Veniam presents a low-cost platform that, when connected to cars, taxis, public transport, or trucks, transforms them into mobile hotspots. This wireless infrastructure opens up a new world of connectivity applications for mobile vehicles, with a market the size of the billion cars in the world. Call is organized by ISCTE-IUL and the MIT-Portugal Program, funded by FCT.
