Winner of the largest national entrepreneurship Call reduces cost of turning cars into hotspots
"Veniam", developed by João Barros, Susana Sargento, Robin Chase and Roy Russell, won the 3rd edition of Call Building Global Innovators (BGI), among 132 competitors in this year's edition. "Veniam" presents a low-cost platform that, when connected to cars, cabs, public transportation or trucks, turns them into mobile hotspots. This wireless infrastructure opens up a new world of connectivity applications for mobile vehicles, with a market the size of the billion cars in the world. The Call BGI is organized by ISCTE-IUL and the MIT-Portugal Program, funded by FCT.
