New POLEN website strengthens support for managing and sharing research data in Portugal

POLEN, the digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed by FCCN, has launched its new official website - a space dedicated to managing and sharing research data, promoting the practice of Open Science.
With a modern, accessible and user-centered design , the new website aims to make it easier for the scientific and higher education community to access the services and resources provided by POLEN. The new interface reflects the service's core values: openness, transparency and greater visibility of scientific results. You can find information on POLEN's main services: the Data Management Plan System and the Research Data Repository. Here you can also find up-to-date information on the activities in which the service actively participates, such as the implementation of the National Program for Open Science and Open Research Data (PNCADAI), the GDI Forum and alignment with important national and international initiatives, among others.
The launch of this new website accompanies a new phase for POLEN, driven by the PNCADAI, aimed at promoting the practice of FAIR data at national level, through the implementation of new services, a national network, the development and monitoring of Open Science policies and collaboration on relevant projects. Its update is in line with the recent modernization of POLEN's image, promoting a commitment to clearer, more accessible communication adapted to the needs of the scientific community.
The new visual identity also reinforces the service's connection to FCT and brings it closer to FCCN's new identity. The colors that distinguish it reveal the technological area of the FCCN of which it is a part - the Knowledge area, represented by the color purple.
