Agroecology Partnership releases a pre-announcement for the first joint call for projects

Agriculture

The Agroecology Partnership launched the pre-announcement for the first Joint Call for projects under the theme "Fostering agroecology at farm and landscape levels". The aim of this Call is to fund transdisciplinary research and innovation (R&I) projects that address agroecological transition of conventional and organic agricultural systems.

The two-stage Call will open on February 15 2024. The first phase, for the submission of pre-proposals, will run until April; selected pre-proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal until September 2024.

According to the pre-announcement projects should study and implement agroecology on two geographical scales:

  • immediate surroundings (theme 1);
  • landscape or territory (theme 2).

Proposals need to show a multidisciplinary and integrated approach following a multisectoral perspective and a European & global vision. The R&I questions will address the real needs of stakeholders involved in co-creation processes, together with the end users, aiming to integrate their practical knowledge.

More information about the call will soon be available on the FCT website.

More information and contacts can be found at the Agroecology partnership FCT webpage to be updated soon.
