European Partnership for Personalized Medicine (EP PerMed) launches 2nd Joint Call

The European Partnership for Personalized Medicine ( EP PerMed ) has launched its second Joint Call , entitled PGxPM2025, to fund transnational Research and Innovation projects.

This Call, with the theme "Pharmacogenomic strategies for personalized medicine approaches," involves 35 European and international funding agencies, including FCT, and aims to support projects covering one or more of the following aspects: Identification of new pharmacogenomic markers or signatures using (multi)-omics data in relation to drugs or drug combinations; Validation of a pharmacogenomic marker or signatures using (multi)-omics data in predicting drug or drug combination outcomes; and Use pharmaco-omics strategies to determine the right dosage, the efficacy of treatments and/or the risk of adverse drug response and non-response to treatment to tailor personalized treatment pathways, including combined treatments (multi-medication).

Preliminary proposals (phase 1) may be submitted until 1:00 p.m. (Mainland Portugal time) on February 18, 2025.

Co-funded under Horizon Europe, EP PerMed is a platform for the joint programming of activities supporting national and European research and innovation, which implements the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Personalized Medicine (2023) through dedicated funding for research, development, and innovation.

In addition to FCT, Portugal is represented in this partnership by the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), the Regional Coordination and Development Commission of the Center (CCRDC), and the Regional Directorate for Science, Innovation, and Development (DRCID).
