National Digital Strategy Action Plan 2026-2027

The Action Plan for the National Digital Strategy for 2026-2027, recently approved by the Government and published in Official Gazette, includes FCT among the entities responsible for implementing strategic measures that drive the digital transition in Portugal.

The FCT is jointly responsible, together with ARTE, I. P., ANI, S. A., IP-Telecom, S. A., and Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda, S. A., for the implementation of measure 13.5 – “Monitoring future pilots,” which covers areas such as Quantum Computing, Robotics, Blockchain, and Internet Governance.

The FCT also participates, as an involved entity, in two measures: 17.1 – “Implementation of the Digital Skills Pact,” under the responsibility of ARTE, I. P.; and 18.1 – “Implementation of the National Program for Girls in STEM,” under the responsibility of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG).

The National Digital Strategy Action Plan implements the National Digital Strategy (EDN), which aims to position Portugal among the most advanced countries in the European Union in terms of digital transformation.
