Portugal to host the International HPC Summer School 2025
FCT, through its digital services unit FCCN, is supporting the organization ofthe International HPC Summer School 2025, which will take place in Lisbon from July 6 to 11, 2025, bringing together participants from around the world. Registration for this event, which is being held for the first time in Portugal, is open until January 31, 2025.
All graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in computer science belonging to institutions in Australia, Canada, European Union countries, the United States of America, and Japan are invited to apply for the 15th edition ofthe International HPC Summer School.
This event addresses key aspects of HPC (High Performance Computing) and big data analysis for a variety of scientific disciplines, and aims to catalyze networking, provide advanced guidance, and facilitate international exchange that opens doors to new career options.
The training courses are conducted by leading experts in Advanced Computing from partner regions within the organization.
TheHPC Summer School issponsored by theEuroHPC Joint Undertaking(EuroHPC JU) through the HPC SPECTRA project in Europe, by thePawsey Supercomputing Research Centre (Pawsey) in Australia, theDigital Research Alliance of Canada(DRAC), theRIKEN Center for Computational Science(R-CCS) in Japan, the University of Illinois atUrbana Champaign, and the University of Texas atAustin in theUS. These institutions are joined by organizations in South Africa (NICIS CHPC and NITheCS) and the United Kingdom (EPCC), which conduct their own selection processes.
