European Cultural Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards
Milene Gil, a researcher at the University of Évora, was honored in the 2023 edition of the European Cultural Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards with the ALMADA project, in the category "Citizen Engagement and Awareness." This is one of 30 projects from 21 European countries that were honored with the award.
The project ALMADA, which is supported by FCT, aims to use scientific research to present Almada Negreiros' mural art from a new perspective, with a remarkable reach among various communities.
The 30 winners of the Awards were selected by a jury composed of heritage experts from across Europe. With the 30 winning projects selected, voting for the "People's Choice Award" is now open until August 28, 2023 .
The winners will be honored at the European Awards Ceremony on September 28 at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice.
