New European Bauhaus Awards 2024

New European Bauhaus Awards 2024

Applications for the New European Bauhaus 2024 awards are open until November 10, 2023. This initiative, promoted by the European Commission, received more than 4,500 applications in previous editions.

The New European Bauhaus Awards 2024 will recognize innovative and exemplary projects and designs by young talents that represent sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion. They are organized into four categories: reconnecting with nature; restoring a sense of belonging; prioritizing places and people most in need; shaping a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking.

For the first time, applications for projects and ideas from Ukraine will be accepted, in addition to those from EU Member States and the Western Balkans. Another new feature of this edition will be the focus on projects and ideas from EU regions facing socio-economic problems or challenges in the dual ecological and digital transition.

Twenty winners will be selected and will receive prizes of up to €30,000, as well as a communication support kit to help them develop and promote their projects and concepts. The winners will be announced during the New European Bauhaus Festival, which will take place in Brussels from April 17 to 21, at an awards ceremony organized by the European Commission.
