CMU Portugal's Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students Programs – 2024 edition

The CMU Portugal Program, funded by FCT, has lauched the application period for the 2024 edition of the Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students Programs until April 8, 2024.

The CMU Portugal Visiting Faculty & Researchers Program is aimed at faculty and researchers who hold a doctoral degree and are affiliated with a Portuguese Higher Education Institution or Research Laboratory, and aims to provide a period of immersion of between 2 weeks to 2 months at Carnegie Mellon University, where they will be able to develop work in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) research, education and innovation. There are 8 places available and the monthly allowance amountign to €2,500. In addition to the monthly internship fee, beneficiaries will also have access to health insurance worth up to €600 while at CMU.

The Visiting Students Program offers an immersion period of 2 to 3 months at Carnegie Mellon University, for master's or master's students who have obtained their degree in the last 5 years in Portugal and in areas related to ICT. While at Carnegie Mellon University, candidates will be mentored by the university's professors and researchers and will have the opportunity to experience the university's culture. There are 10 places available and the monthly allowance will be €2,000 and they will also be entitled to a single travel allowance of €1,000.
