CMU Portugal 2024 Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students Programs

The CMU Portugal Program, funded by FCT, has opened the application period for the 2024 edition of the Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students Programs, until April 8, 2024.

The CMU Portugal Visiting Faculty & Researchers Program is aimed at professors or researchers with a PhD degree who are affiliated with a Portuguese higher education institution or research laboratory. and aims to provide a period of immersion of between two weeks and two months at Carnegie Mellon University, where they can carry out work in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in research, education, and innovation.  There are eight places available, with a monthly grant of €2,500. In addition to the monthly internship allowance, beneficiaries will also have access to health insurance worth up to €600 while they are at CMU.

The Visiting Students Program offers a 2- to 3-month immersion period at Carnegie Mellon University to master's students or master's degree holders who have obtained their degree in the last 5 years in Portugal in areas related to ICT. While attending Carnegie Mellon University, candidates will be mentored by professors and researchers from this university and will have the opportunity to experience the culture of this University. There are 10 places available, with a monthly stipend of €2,000 and a one-time travel allowance of €1,000.
