PRR streamlines eligibility of R&D expenses for ENESII
In the context of the implementation of investment projects under the Mobilizing Agendas for Business Innovation, the eligibility rule for R&D expenses was adjusted, specifically with regard to the eligibility of expenses incurred by non-business entities in the R&I system (ENESII).
Thus, for non-business entities not covered by state aid rules, eligible expenses associated with the acquisition of tangible assets may be considered eligible for the entire amount of their acquisition, provided that they are duly justified and when it is demonstrated that the beneficiary does not carry out economic activity. Until now, the eligibility of these expenses was only provided for in the amount of the depreciation of the assets.
The measure is being introduced with the aim of accelerating the implementation of investments under the PRR's Mobilizing Agendas. The consortia of the PRR's Mobilizing and Green Agendas comprise around 120 ENESIIs, representing approximately 10% of the total number of entities involved.
