Publication of the FCT report “Inclusive Research Careers” as part of the GENDERACTIONplus Project

GENDERaction

The report "Inclusive Research Careers,"prepared by FCT as part of the GENDERACTIONplus project—Gender Equality Network to Develop ERA Communities To Coordinate Inclusive and Sustainable Policy Implementation—is now available for consultation.

GENDERACTIONplus is a consortium funded by the Horizon Europe Program, which includes 26 Member States and associated countries. Its goal is to support the coordination and integration of Gender Equality policies in the new European Research Area (ERA). In this context, it coordinates two networks: one of authorities responsible for national policies and one of research funding organizations committed to gender equality in research and innovation (R&I).

This project has been developed in the following areas: intersectionality and inclusion, gender-based violence, gender dimension in R&I, monitoring and evaluation of actions for gender equality within the ERA, and promotion of institutional change through Gender Equality Plans.

The FCT leads the "Inclusive Research Careers" Task Force, which is part of the Intersectionality and Inclusion domain, following the priority established in the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and materialized in the Council Recommendations on a European framework to attract and retain talent in the field of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Europe.
