The OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), in partnership with the DGPM (Directorate-General for Maritime Policy), the FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P.) and the GOOS (Global Ocean Observing System), has launched two questionnaires on the use of national public marine data, which are aimed at the community involved in marine affairs, inviting them to respond to these questionnaires on the use of marine data available in national public data repositories. These questionnaires, which should enable an understanding of the social value of this data by gathering useful information to guide future policies, will be available for participation between December 19, 2022, and February 17, 2023.

One of the questionnaires is aimed at users of physical and biogeochemical ocean data, or others, in accordance with SeaDataNet vocabulary and parameters. It can be accessed here (in Portuguese) and here (in English).

The other questionnaire is aimed at users of the Sea Satellite Account or other socioeconomic data available in national public repositories. It can be accessed here (in Portuguese) and here (in English).

Completing the questionnaires should take no more than 15 minutes (each).
