Public Ceremony for the Presentation of the João Monjardino Award 2023

News: João Monjardino Award 2023 public session

The João Monjardino Award 2023 Public Ceremony will take place on May 16, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., in the Manuel Machado Macedo Auditorium (located at the NOVA Medical School Research Center in Lisbon).

The João Monjardino Award 2023 was awarded to researcher Deborah Oyine Aluh (affiliated withthe Lisbon Institute of Global Mental Health; Comprehensive Health Research Center(CHRC), NOVA Medical School), the first author of the article "Contextual factors influencing the use of coercive measures in Portuguese mental health care,"published inthe International Journal of Law and Psychiatry in 2023.

The award ceremony will include a roundtable discussion onBiomedical Research Infrastructures: 2014–2024,followed by a presentation of the award-winning researcher's work. The following national infrastructures will be represented at the round table: BIN_National Brain Imaging Network – Core Infrastructure; Genome Portugal_National Facility for Genome Sequencing and Analysis and BioData.pt – Portuguese Biological Data Network.
