Public Session “Setting Research and Innovation Priorities” to Be Held on June 22
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation and the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion will host an online public session on June 22 titled “Defining Research and Innovation Priorities – Discussion on Critical Decision Factors.” Starting at 2:00 p.m., this session is part of the ongoing participatory process aimed at supporting the definition of national Research and Innovation (R&I) areas and the future budget allocation for the new Agency for Research and Innovation (AI²).
During the event, the Critical Decision Factors identified during the strategic focus phase of the methodology will be discussed, contributing to the development of an evaluation framework that reflects the different perspectives of the national science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.
The session will feature remarks by the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Fernando Alexandre; the Project Team Coordinator, Professor Maria do Rosário Partidário; and the Director of PLANAPP, Pedro Saraiva; and will include a roundtable discussion featuring the Secretary of State for Science and Innovation, Helena Canhão, and the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira.
