This event aimed to bring together researchers with projects that address issues relevant to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the aim of promoting knowledge transfer to society and creating new partnerships and consortia with a view to developing the SDGs themselves.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda is an action plan aimed at eradicating poverty and promoting sustainable development, involving and holding all States and other stakeholders accountable for its implementation. It is a universal agenda, based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets, which requires the integration of these SDGs into policies, processes, and actions developed at the national, regional, and global levels.
