Open Science Webinar: Community, Access, and Collaboration

As part of the celebrations for International Open Science Week, FCT is organizing a webinar entitled Open Science: Community, Access, and Collaboration on October 24 through its FCCN unit.

The goal is to promote greater awareness of the advantages and practices associated with Open Science, understood as scientific activity carried out in an open, collaborative, and transparent manner, which promotes the sharing and communication of processes and results.

The webinar will focus particularly on a set of topics arising from FCT's activities in the area of Open Science, namely the transformative agreements signed by b-on with scientific publication publishers that allow open access publishing, the future Policy on Open Access to Scientific Publications Resulting from FCT Funding, the retention of copyright as a means of promoting open access, and, finally, research data.

This session is mainly aimed at communities of researchers, science managers, students, and anyone interested in the topic of Open Science. It will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, starting at 2:15 p.m.
