EMBO webinar on “Funding opportunities in the life sciences”

Students gathered in the classroom

The EMBO webinar on "Funding Opportunities in Life Sciences" will take place on March 12, 2025. The main objective of this initiative is to provide information to doctoral and master's students, recent PhD graduates, and new postdoctoral fellows about the Studentships program, scientific Studentships , and the EMBO Association's program of courses and workshops. Other opportunities will also be announced, such as the Young Investigators Program and Installation Grants.

The EMBO Association is an international organization supported by 37 European countries that aims to fund researchers and support conferences, training, and networking activities in order to create an environment in which scientists can excel.

EMBO Studentships include a salary or stipend for up to two years and cover travel and living expenses for exchanges. International mobility is an essential requirement.

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) supports and monitors the participation of the scientific and technological community in international organizations of which Portugal is a member. The benefits for the scientific and technological community include access for national teams to international scientific infrastructure, increased industrial competitiveness, access to training programs, and Calls scientific or management positions in different organizations.

This webinar will take place on March 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Mainland Portugal time), and prior registration is required.
