ARCHE Project workshop: “Resilient cultural heritage in times of climate crisis”

The first Stakeholders' workshop of the ARCHE (Alliance for Research on Cultural Heritage in Europe) project, of which FCT is a partner, will take place in Berlin and online on April 16 and 17.

The workshop "Resilient cultural heritage in times of climate crisis" is organized by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz) as part of the European ARCHE project and aims to bring together researchers, professionals, decision-makers, and policymakers from Germany and other countries in the field of cultural heritage and/or who work in areas related to the intersection between cultural heritage and climate change.

Theworkshop will consist of four sessions, bringing together researchers, representatives from public administration, funding and government agencies, and civil society partners to outline the existing and future needs of a Research & Innovation agenda for the sustainable preservation of Cultural Heritage.

The interventions will cover two aspects: highlighting the impact of climate change on cultural heritage and showing the active role that cultural heritage can play in addressing the climate crisis, as well as the possible interactions that can be promoted between the various stakeholders.
