Access to the production phase of the MareNostrum5 Supercomputer

The FCT would like to remind you that until September 9, 2024, the national sectors of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Public Administration can submit expressions of interest to access the production phase of the MareNostrum5 (MN5) Supercomputer. Interested parties should complete and submit the simplified form, available atexpression of interest form.

Applications are evaluated every two weeks by FCCN's advanced computing services, FCT's digital services. Selection will be based on three criteria: (1) order of arrival of applications, (2) previous experience of applicants, and (3) immediate availability for use of resources.

The technical support team at Deucalion and BarcelonaSupercomputing Center(BSC) will evaluate and validate the requirements. Each candidate may only have one approved access request, and the process will end when the resources available through the Advanced Computing Calls to run on MN5 are exhausted.

The BSC announced the start of production of its latest supercomputer, MareNostrum5 (MN5), in which Portugal holds a 5% stake, as part of the RE-C05-i08 – Ciência Mais Digital investment, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
