Extension of the Application Deadline for Call R&D Projects in all Scientific Fields 2025

The deadline for submitting applications for Call "Call R&D Projects in all Scientific Fields 2025" from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has been extended until March 25, at 5:00 p.m. (Lisbon time), given the constraints and damage caused by recent adverse weather events.

The Call R&D Projects in All Scientific Fields is a commitment to Scientific Excellence, with exclusive funding from tax revenues to promote Science and Research, within a framework of stability and predictability. Launched on November 27, 2025, it has a total budget of €104 million from tax revenues, which is more than 30% higher than the commitment of the two previous Calls and IC&DT Calls .

The Call two types of projects: Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects (IC&DT) and Exploratory Research Projects (PEX). Applications must be submitted in English on the myFCT platform. Non-business entities from the R&I (research and innovation) System are eligible to apply.
