Studentships under FCT protocols and partnerships

In order to ensure a response to societal challenges in specific areas, FCT has signed several collaboration agreements that support advanced training in partnership with institutions that promote or engage in scientific research and technological development, with a view to funding research work in cycles leading to the award of a doctoral degree.

In order to ensure wide dissemination of the scientific opportunities available to as many interested parties as possible, reinforcing the transparency and predictability of the opportunities funded by FCT, we are publishing the Calendar of Calls protocols, to be held in 2023, which provides for the award of a maximum of 482 PhD Studentships , awarded directly by FCT. The respective opening notices can be consulted on the EURAXESS Portal, as well as on the institutional pages of the entities covered by the protocols.

The process of evaluating and selecting applications associated with these protocols is the responsibility of the entities covered by the protocols, while the contracting, management, and financing of Studentships the responsibility of the FCT.
