FCT published the Notice of the Call Call for Studentships

Today, FCT published the Notice of the Call Call Studentships for Doctorates in all Scientific Fields 2023 (General Application Line and Non-Academic Application Line). The Call open from March 1 until 5:00 p.m. (Lisbon time) on March 31, 2023. Applications must be submitted electronically via the myFCT portal.

Anyone who is, or meets the conditions to be, enrolled in a course of study leading to a doctoral degree in any field of knowledge and who intends to carry out research activities to obtain that academic degree may apply.

In addition to applications in all scientific areas and with research work to be carried out in scientific and academic institutions to be submitted under the general application line, a specific application line is open for Studentships whose work plans are partially carried out in one or more non-academic entities. As part of the pursuit of a public policy of advanced training based on socially relevant research, in 2023 the FCT will thus strengthen the link between work plans developed in an academic environment and the business and social fabric, in a broad sense, which includes companies, public, social, health, cultural, or other interface institutions.

The number of Studentships be awarded is 1,450 (one thousand four hundred and fifty), of which a maximum of 400 (four hundred) will be allocated to the specific application line for work plans in non-academic entities.
