Call IC&DT projects – Cooperation between Portugal and CERN

Today, July 25, FCT announced the provisional results of the Call for scientific research and technological development (IC&DT) projects within the scope of Cooperation between Portugal and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). The total investment amount for this Call €1,993,449.40, financed by investment RE-C06-i06 – “Science Plus Training” from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

Of the 35 applications Call to Call after analysis and evaluation, a total of 19 IC&DT projects were recommended for funding. The minimum amount per project proposed for funding was €26,000 and the maximum was €167,000. The projects will have a maximum duration of 24 months.

This Call to support IC&DT projects associated with official scientific collaborations or those recognized by CERN, as well as technology-based projects in the field of applied sciences, in collaboration with activities supported by CERN. Applications falling within one of the following thematic or sectoral areas were eligible: Computing for particle physics; Experimental and theoretical particle and astroparticle physics; Instrumentation for particle physics; and Technologies associated with experimental particle physics.

Candidates may, from now until August 8, 2024, submit statements at a preliminary hearing of interested parties. The final results of Call are expected to Call announced during the month of September.
