Countdown to the 2024 Open Call for new COST action proposals

COST Open Call News

The countdown to the 2024 Open Call for new COST action proposals has officially begun and will end in six months, on October 23, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. (CEST).

COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology funds transnational collaboration activities in a system of freely accessible,bottom-up networks of researchers in all scientific and technological fields. These networks, known asCOST Actions, enable advances in the development of scientific knowledge, contributing to strengthening Europe's position as a leader in R&D.

A COST action is an interdisciplinary research network that brings together researchers and innovators to investigate a topic over a four-year period. These actions are open to all scientific and technological fields, including new and emerging ones. COST actions are alsobottom-up, emerging actions, which means that a network can be proposed based on one's own interests or ideas.

Funding for a COST action covers the costs of networking activities and can be used to finance events, short-term scientific missions, training schools, communication activities, and virtual networking tools.

If you want to turn your innovative ideas into reality, now is the ideal time to start creating a network proposal. Participants planning to submit a proposal for a COST Action should consult the guidelines and Open Call Announcement available under Documents and Guidelines.
