The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its digital services unit FCCN, invites national and international experts to collaborate as evaluators and/or specialists in national initiatives for access to computational resources. The first phase for expressions of interest is open until October 15, 2025.

This call for expressions of interest aims to strengthen the database of qualified, multidisciplinary evaluators with experience in scientific evaluation for Advanced Computing Calls (CPCA), ensuring a rigorous, transparent, and impartial process. In addition, experts are also sought for other FCT initiatives, such as AI Factories, where specialized user support will be required.

The collaboration of the selected experts will be on an ad hoc basis, upon invitation, and will provide for adequate compensation for the time and technical contribution provided.

This call is open to experts from all scientific and computational fields, namely: High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computational Modeling and Simulation, Scientific Data Analysis and Management, Data Visualization and Interaction, and Computational Applications in Science, Engineering, or Digital Humanities. Previous experience in scientific or technological evaluation panels is valued.

All interested parties should complete the online form, which is now available. Further information on advanced computing projects is also available on the FCT website .
